Comedy Carpet
I drove to Blackpool yesterday to have a look at this after I’d heard that Ken Dodd had unveiled it earlier this month. It is quite staggering from a typographic and an artistic point of view. 160,000 granite letters of all different typefaces and sizes from 1,000 comedians and comedy writers over the years.
I’ve setup a Comedy Carpet, Blackpool flickr group with the photos I took yesterday and ones other people have contributed. I only wish I had found where to buy the guide book.
