- Walther Benser
Walther Benser must have had the best job in the world. Working for Leica, then using the rangefinder series of cameras to take photographs for the Leica lecture tours of which he was famous. He travelled around Germany and Europe taking photographs and later describing photographic techniques to large audiences of amateurs and professionals alike.
The book only seems to slow down as Walther describes being a war reporter. When the war was over he formed his own photography agency and lectured as far afield as America and China.
Walther’s enthusiasm for photography is infectious. A pleasant read for anyone interested in photography and the history of the Leica company.
