You have to give Woz credit. At the time no one had thought of linking a computer with a keyboard, let alone, linking a computer, keyboard and TV display. Would any one else have come up with that idea? Possibly, but it was one man that did it.

If you’re reading this then you probably already know that Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs founded Apple Computer. That Woz designed and developed the Apple I and Apple II computers and that Jobs had the managing and marketing skills. But what I didn’t know was that Woz also had the idea behind a remote that could be programmed. He even formed a new company, called CL 9, to develop and manufacture the product.

Imagine having to write a controller for floppy disk drive? Needing to figure out what information was on which track and where the head was. Now-a-days nothing even has a floppy drive. Everything is written to gargantuan hard disks or to flash RAM.

A good book that really makes you smile as you read it. And he didn’t mention Segway Polo once!
