The wait for a Wii is over...

WiiWii

Some time today Parcel Force dropped off my Nintendo Wii. They didn’t ring my door bell or ask for me to sign for it, they just left it in the hallway of my building.

At lunchtime I contacted Amazon.co.uk, even though the web page said that you should only contact them 3 days after the expected delivery date. They came back and said that the tracking code was incomplete and that they would look into the apparent disappearance of my package. At 4 o'clock I finished work and didn’t really know what to do, so I started to watch episodes of Frasier on DVD. I had something to eat and then had to go out. Just a trip to Sainsbury’s and to delivery some Christmas cards.

I walked downstairs and saw the box underneath the letterboxes on the wall. So, I took the box upstairs, left it in the hallway of my flat and went out.

The joy of finally getting the console was overshadowed by the fact that it could have been there since 11 o'clock in the morning. In the past this has always worked in my favour. Parcel Force would just leave boxes in the hallway and not need a signature. But not this time.
