The World's Most Fantastic Freaks

The World's Most Fantastic Freaks

I bought this book hoping that it would contain more information on my 3 favourite freaks: Johnny Eck, Prince Randian and Schlitze. But there is absolutely no mention of them at all, which is kind of odd in itself. They star in a favourite film of mine called, quite fittingly, Freaks directed by Tod Browning back in 1932.

The book is a good read, for a factual book of this type. It covers a broad spectrum of oddities from The Elephant Man to Robert Pershing Wadlow, from Siamese twins to victims of spontaneous human combustion, from the longest finger nails to the longest necks.

If you are interested in this subject then this book really is worth tracking down.
